This was a great little comic strip. Part of the charm was how the artwork followed the plot so seamlessly (or maybe the other way round?). Re-reading these as an adult, I feel that each story is a mini-classic.
I recall BBB mainly from the Dandy annuals of which I once possessed the issues from 1958 to 1967. The stories are all very moralistic. He suffers the consequences every time. Like many other comic characters Benny would now be considered too non-PC with his irresponsible actions and what would be seen as the overt racist attitude towards Native Americans. Still makes me chuckle though!
